Hugh T. Lackie: Mr. Lackie
has extensive litigation experience in both jury and non-jury cases in the states of Washington, Idaho, Oregon, California
and Alaska, practicing at state, appellate and Supreme Court levels. In addition, he has practiced before many state
municipal and administrative bodies as an Assistant Attorney General representing numerous state agencies. Mr. Lackie
enjoys a varied defense practice which includes product liability, general tort claims and professional malpractice defense.
Mr. Lackie is a recognized expert in employment law including discrimination, sexual harassment and ADA litigation.
The majority of his practice involves the representation of municipalities, administrative bodies and municipal officials.
Gregory M. Kane: Since
1981, Mr. Kane has specialized in defending workers' compensation cases and, prior to joining Evans, Craven & Lackie in
1986, he served for five years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington, representing the Department of
Labor and Industries. Mr. Kane handles a very high volume of industrial insurance defense litigation before the Board
of Industrial Insurance Appeals, as well as before the various Superior and Appellate Courts throughout Washington.
Mr. Kane's current practice consists of representing employers in workers' compensation claims, and also advising his clients
concerning discrimination and accommodation issues. He is a frequent speaker at seminars addressing workers' compensation
issues, and is a member of the Washington Self Insurers Association. Mr. Kane is licensed to practice in both Washington
and Idaho.
Patrick M. Risken: Mr.
Risken has a litigation practice, primarily in business and contract matters, the representation of public and private entities
in construction claims litigation, the defense of claims involving engineering and architectural issues and the representation
of business entities in claims involving catastrophic injury or death, as well as appeals. Mr. Risken's practice also
involves the representation of business entities in mediation, arbitration and administrative proceedings. Mr. Risken
also handles personal injury claims on behalf of the injured party.
Michael E. McFarland, Jr.:
Mr. McFarland practices in the areas of general litigation, insurance defense, municipal and commercial litigation, as well
as the defense of school districts. Mr. McFarland has represented many municipal entities located throughout Washington
in claims ranging from negligent road design to wrongful arrest. A majority of the cases handled by Mr. McFarland involve
alleged civil rights violations by the municipal entities' police departments. Mr. McFarland also represents numerous
Washington school districts in litigation involving tort claims and employment law. Mr. McFarland is licensed to practice
in both Washington and Idaho.
Lisette F. Carter: Ms.
Carter's practice focuses on representation of insurance companies and their insureds in tort claims arising out of motor
vehicle and slip and fall accidents, realtor, attorney and architect professional negligence claims and product liability
issues. Ms. Carter also represents Spokane County
in tort claims including premises liability and construction related matters. She also handles domestic and family law
matters such as dissolution, custody, adoption and parentage issues. Ms. Carter is licensed to practice in Washington,
Idaho, Oregon and Montana.
Everett B. Coulter, Jr.:
Mr. Coulter has litigated a high volume of personal injury and professional liability defense cases in Eastern Washington
and North Idaho over the course of his career. The cases have involved automobile accidents, medical negligence, product
liability, professional negligence, work site/premises liability and wrongful death actions. Mr. Coulter is also familiar
with Native American Law and performs defense work for various tribes. Mr. Coulter is licensed to practice in both Washington
and Idaho, as well as before the Colville Confederated Tribe, the Spokane Tribe, the Kalispel Tribe, the Nez Perce Tribe,
The Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakima Nation and the Coeur d'Alene Tribe.
Jon D. Floyd: Mr. Floyd's
practice primarily focuses on the defense of workers' compensation claims, representing self-insured and state- funded employers
before the Department of Labor and Industries and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals. He also provides advice
to employers on other labor and employment related issues such as the Americans With Disabilities Act, The Family Medical
Leave Act, The Washington Law Against Discrimination, The Fair Labor Standards Act and the Washington Minimum Wage Law.
Mr. Floyd is licensed to practice in both Washington and Idaho.
James F. Topliff: Prior
to becoming an attorney, Mr. Topliff worked as a Certified Public Accountant with several accounting firms. His current
law practice includes the negotiation and drafting of contracts, real estate planning and transactions, taxation planning,
corporate law and business valuations, business and real estate acquisitions, sales, financing and planning and estate and
probate matters. Mr. Topliff is licensed to practice in both Washington and Idaho.
Heather C. Yakely: Ms. Yakely's practice focuses on employment and municipal defense, including
defending against allegations of civil and constitutional violations. She is a recognized expert in employment law including
discrimination, sex harassment, and ADA litigation. Ms. Yakely has presented at various seminars regarding employment
law issues, as well as other topics. Her practice also includes representation of insurance companies in tort defense
as well as product liability defense. Ms. Yakely is licensed to practice in both Washington and Idaho.
James B. King: Mr King's areas of practice include insurance defense, emphasizing general and
professional liability, products liability, errors and omissions as well as employment practices and general business litigation.
Christopher J. Kerley: Mr. Kerley's areas of practice include insurance defense, emphasizing general
and professional liability, products liability, errors and omissions as well as employment practices and general business

Robert F. Sestero, Jr.: Ms. Sestero's areas of practice include insurance defense, emphasizing

Sean P. Boutz: Prior to law
school, Mr. Boutz was an insurance adjuster for State Farm Insurance Company handling bodily injury, property damage and subrogation

Norma J. Tillotson: Ms. Tillotson's practice primarily

Markus W. Louvier: Mr. Louvier's practice
